Tissot Unveils Danica Patrick Limited Edition
The number 10 is a lucky one for Danica Patrick, the most successful female driver in the history of American open-wheel racing. Not only is 10 Patrick’s number as a driver, she is also celebrating her 10th anniversary as a brand ambassador for Tissot. How better to honor such an illustrious occasion than with an elegant new watch?
The Tissot PR 100 Chronometer Danica Patrick Limited Edition 2015 was introduced at a July 25 event held at the Reis-Nichols jewelry store in Indianapolis. Patrick just happened to be in the neighborhood to compete in NASCAR’s Brickyard 400 race the next day and co-hosted the bash with the watch brand.
The most eye-catching feature of the 29mm watch is the number 10 executed in round-cut diamonds placed at the 10 o’clock mark on the mother-of-pearl dial. Powered by a quartz chronometer, the timepiece is finished with a stainless steel bracelet while Patrick’s signature logo appears on the caseback.
Patrick prefers her watches to be both sporty and elegant, so she’s very pleased that the limited edition Tissot is a perfect combination of the two. “It’s dressy and casual,” she stated. “I have 30 or 40 watches. Not everyone has that ability.
“Having something that bridges between the two is my style anyway,” Patrick added. “I travel so much. Do you know how much it weighs to carry all that jewelry and all those watches? So I have the perfect one to go with everything.”
Patrick finds that the new timepiece reflects the opposite facets of her personality. “When I’m at the track I’m a driver and when I’m away from the track I’m a female. I embrace this and I can do fun things with it. They’re kind of two separate things for me.”
Only 100 pieces of the Tissot PR 100 Chronometer Danica Patrick Limited Edition 2015 will be sold, each with a price tag of $725.
