Obris Morgan Explorer Watch Review and Video Review

by Kenneth Drysdale

Powering the Explorer is the Japanese Automatic Miyota 9015. This is a great movement that is truly reliable. Over the course of a 24-hour period, the Explorer marked at +6 seconds, making it very accurate in my books.

The bracelet of the Explorer is a 5 link, 20mm, stainless steel DLC coated bracelet. 5 link bracelets, in my opinion, are extremely comfortable to wear, and allow proper configuration to the wrist. The clasp on the Explorer is a double-locking, fold over clasp with push button release. While this clasp gets the job done, I personally would have liked to see a higher quality clasp with a ratcheting extension.

Overall, I really like the Explorer by Obris Morgan. With a price tag of $299.00, I really think you’re getting a good “bang for your buck”. The Explorer is well equipped with DLC, sapphire crystal, automatic Miyota 9015 and a comfortable 5-link bracelet. The only thing I think would really step up the Explorer would be a more high quality clasp with ratcheting extension. If your in the market for a nice diver in the $300 price range, I would highly recommend giving the Explorer by Obris Morgan a try. Ben,

Yes, you can either choose from brushed SS, blasted SS, or the DLC coated. Check out the Obris Morgan site here: http://www.obrismorgan.com/explorerpage.html
