TAG Heuer’s Dempsey Takes Second Place at LeMans

Millions of fans wept when “Grey’s Anatomy” killed off its long-running character “Dr. McDreamy” a few weeks ago but actor Patrick Dempsey already has a second career that is working out very well for him. In his fourth try at driving LeMans, Dempsey took a second place finish in the legendary endurance race.

This marks another win for a team that is partnered with luxury watch brand TAG Heuer, in this case the Dempsey Racing Team in the GTE-AM class. Although his Dempsey-Proton Porsche 911 RSR team came in second to the winning Ferrari team, Dempsey was thrilled to make it to the podium and told Autoweek: “Le Mans is a wonderful race. It’s always a great experience to compete here.

“For us, the last race hour was a particularly tough battle but the whole team did everything they possibly could. Luckily we were rewarded with a podium result. For that alone, all the hard work of the last weeks and months were worthwhile. I’m proud of the team.”

Congrats to Patrick Dempsey on his successful move into auto racing—and to TAG Heuer for backing another winner.

Golfer Scores BOSS Watch for Hole-in-One

Racking up a hole-in-one is pretty exciting for a professional golfer but for an amateur it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thrill. This event is even sweeter when you toss in a luxury watch.

Burnley, U.K., golfer Stephen Gill scored his ace on the 11th hole at Nelson GC, winning not only bragging rights but a membership in the exclusive BOSS Watches H1Club and a limited edition commemorative timepiece.

The luxury German watchmaker has promised to reward more golfers who manage to score a hole-in-one recorded during a club competition in 2015, provided the club is one of the 1800 using the web-based social network for golfers HowDidIDo.

Sounds like a cool deal for the lucky golfers who not only get a luxury watch for scoring their hole-in-one but also have a place to brag about it online.
