UNIQ GAF44 Watch Review with Video Review

Taking a look at the Uniq GAF44, we find a very clean and military inspired watch with just enough bells and whistles to satisfy the collector. The GAF 44 is modern sized, clean, legible, and a good-looking watch that should serve its user for many years.

The majority of Uniq models are military inspired; from pilot style to the rugged military style you’ll see here. This is the second version of the Uniq GAF, with the first version having screws in the bezel area and a different dial setup. This version improves upon the first with a cleaner bezel, larger and more easily read font, and large sword shaped hour hands. It also comes in 4 different dial colors: black, grey, khaki green and desert.

The Uniq GAF44 comes in very similar presentation packaging to the Uniq P47 model I reviewed here a few months ago. It replicates a wooden military ammo box and has the Uniq Georgian Military logo plate. When you slide the lid off you will find your watch nicely secured with foam padding where it sits in a cutout, along with your extra nato strap, warranty, and instruction manuals. UNIQ uses a nice packaging and presentation that could be used for multiple purposes – if you take out the foam lining, and a box that won’t take up a lot of space in the closet.

The 44mm case is all brushed stainless steel, except for the crown, which is high polished and is engraved with the Uniq “U” Logo.  The case is 51mm in length, making it suitable for many wrist sizes, not large, but not small either. The fixed bezel area is thin as well, allowing you to have a large dial opening.
