Guess Fights Breast Cancer with New Watches
October is breast cancer awareness month so stores are full of pink ribbons and products supporting the search for a cure. Guess is one of the many companies that have joined forces with charitable organizations to offer items that help to raise funds to fight this dread disease.
Guess is selling a pair of very feminine limited-edition ladies watches that are adorned with sparkling crystals and pink ribbons. More importantly, Guess is donating 20 percent of each retail sale to The Get in Touch Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to raising awareness about breast cancer.
The mission of the Get in Touch Foundation is to “provide breast health initiatives that educate gals and guys of all ages how to ‘get in touch’ with their bodies, information, and each other in our crusade against breast cancer.” One example is the foundation’s Daisy Wheel app that teaches girls in grades 5-12 how to do a breast self-exam and explains why they’re so important in early detection.
The Guess 2015 Sparkling Pink Leather Watch Benefitting Breast Cancer Awareness has a 35mm polished silver-tone case with crystal detail and a daisy-patterned dial. The analog movement is water-resistant to 100m/330 ft. The familiar pink ribbon appears on the dial in pale pink crystals and the whole package sports a bright pink patent leather strap. This sporty watch has a 36mm polished rose gold-tone steel case with crystal detail and white silicone strap. Functions include day and date and this watch is also water resistant to 100m/330ft. The pink ribbon appears in crystals at the 6 o’clock mark. This watch is priced at $100.
