Gc’s mantra is smart luxury. These watches combine the fashion forwardness of the brand Guess with the savoir faire of Swiss watchmaking. Gc has managed to create a brand with instantly recognizable traits, which have made this brand a force to be reckoned with.
This year, Gc has released a new addition to the Sport Chic Collection called the Gc Femme. The model shown here, Ref # X73008M1S, is molded from stainless steel which has been PVD treated with rose gold. PVD or Phosphor Vapor Deposition bonds the rose gold to stainless steel at the atomic level, nullifying the chance that this trendy timepiece’s color will fade with wear and tear. The stainless steel used is 316L, which is hypoallergenic. This allows Gc watches to be worn on even the most sensitive skin.
The bezel is stationary and it features a graduated minute scale with engraved indexes and Arabic numerals. The main crown is ridged and is protected by a latched crown guard which defends it against impacts. The main crown pulls out to two positions; the first position is used to set the date, which resides in an aperture at the 4 o’clock position; and the second position is used to make adjustments to the time. The bracelet is also made from rose gold PVD plated stainless steel and is constructed using small curved, chamfered links which contour around the wrist for optimal comfort. The clasp which secures the bracelet is of the deployant variety, and this in turn, carries a dual push button release system. 
The dial is white Mother of Pearl. The Mother of Pearl carries pink undertones which complement the case. Indexes are used for the hour markers, with the sole exception at the twelve position which is displayed in Roman numeral format. The chronograph subdials at 9 and 6, display the stop watch minutes and hours respectively. At the 3 position is a continuous seconds register. The chronograph seconds are indicated using a central hand. Time is displayed using slender sword shaped hands coated with lume for nighttime legibility.
Running this watch is a Swiss made quartz chronograph movement R5030.D. This model is made to withstand water pressure of up to 100 meters (10 ATM). Gc uses sapphire crystal for the dial window, chosen for its incredible scratch resistant properties. This watch is slightly large for women with a case diameter of 37.5mm. The Gc Femme, on the other hand, is quite flat with a thickness of only 10.5mm. As with all Gc watches the Gc Femme from the Sport Chic Collection carries a 2 year limited warranty.
