OCEAN7 Announces the LM-5 and LM-4 V2

The LM-5 is a model that has taken OCEAN7  two years to develop. That longer development schedule has rendered a no-compromise dress-diver as the new LM-5 features a polished case and a rare (hard to manufacture) domed sapphire bezel that features a lumed insert, so the markings under the bezel glow through the clear sapphire. Sapphire bezels are very popular as the material is more scratch resistant than conventional aluminum bezel inserts and will not age or fade like vintage bezels. This model comes fitted to a patterned leather strap for the $1199 asking price but can be had with a mesh bracelet for an additional $200. OCEAN7 is taking orders now and shipment should start later in July.

LM-4 V2 Meteor Ceramic

This watch is unique to OCEAN7 and features a case made out of a black ceramic material with a PVD steel crown and case back. The original LM-4 was made to be a no-nonsense, highly legible and very tough sport watch. The new model carries the same ethos which features oversized aviator hands, large markings and hands and a domed sapphire crystal. The ceramic material that makes up the case will be far tougher than steel as its much harder and stiffer than conventional stainless steel.

The LM-4 V2 will be powered by a Swiss ETA-2824-2 and will have an available option for a COSC regulated movement. The LM-4 V2 will be available in three variations featuring either orange, stealthy grey or C3 Super Luminova luminous material on the hands and markers. The C3 painted model will be available later this month while the other two variations will follow in late August. The pricing for the C3 or orange models is $899 while the Shadow model will cost $974.

These new models are rather exciting as they have little in common with each other and show that OCEAN7 is staying innovative and continuing to produce watches that are interesting, collectable and evolutionary over previous models. OCEAN7 has spent years developing these new models on their forum with a significant amount of input coming from collectors and customers as they take a watch from its initial sketch to prototype to primetime.
